It may seem expensive, but it is less expensive to use than lead-acid battery technology like my previous electric lawnmower used, because the lithium-ion battery has no problem with repeated charging and discharging. (I had to buy a couple of new lead-acid batteries every summer. So far, I've fully discharged and recharged one of my lithium-ion batteries about three dozen times with no noticeable degradation in performance.) And, when fully charged, this battery holds all of its charge for a few days even if not plugged into the recharger. I bought this battery as a spare, so when the battery that came with my lawnmower is discharged, I can continue mowing. (This battery is identical to the one that came with my lawnmower.)
