Although just somewhat lighter than my old 18 inch Toro, this maneuverable 14 incher is still much better for my small yard. It's also a nice product. The engine is quiet even for an electric, and it's 8 amps are more than the 6.5A in the my old 18in Toro, so the engine has some grunt when the grass gets thick. Plastic housing is light but stiff and should be durable. I would say this is a well engineered and well built product overall. Only the handle needs to be attached. Everything else already put together. Works fine. Just right for my tiny yard. I live in a townhouse, so don't have much yard. This is perfect and doesn't take up much space to store. If my yard was any bigger, I'd need a bigger mower though. The only thing that would make this better is if the amp were more. However it has thrown off the back wheel three times due to the screw coming undone - and now the discharge shield also came off during use. The screws and a washer are lost somewhere in the lawn. I'll have to call to get a whole bunch of replacement parts now...very annoying. I guess I'll have to also get a large bottle of LockTite to secure the screws. Hope that helps...maybe new screws from the hardware store will be needed? |
